            Parents remember you can pause the read aloud stories to ask your children "wh" questions.

  We will be focusing on April      showers and Farm Animals 

Hi parent's, hope you enjoy these videos, I will be posting more theme related activities on classroom dojo this week.  If you haven't joined I will send you a new invitation keep your eyes open for it.  

Finally here is one of my favorite play dough recipes, also one  of the easiest I know of.  You will need the following. 

                          1. 2 cups of flour

                          2. 1/2 cup of salt

                          3. 3/4 cup of hot water 

                          4. 1 tablespoon baby oil (or cooking oil)

                          5. 2 tablespoons of cream of tartar

                          6. couple drops of any color food coloring(optional)

If you have old toothbrushes they are a great resource for being creative, try using them to make a picture like the one bellow.

Parent's,  I know you're working hard and keeping busy with your own work,  your children, and your household.  These are just ideas and I hope they help.  Remember,  keeping busy will keep little hands out of trouble.  Setting routines, limits, and boundaries helps reinforce everything  learned in school  and will help you get through these tough times.  Don't forget those little hands make great helpers get them involved. stay healthy and safe, we can't wait to see you!!!  Please see the classroom Dojo for class lessons, activities, and stories.  I would love for you to send me pictures or videos of the children.

Happy Mother's Day!

Parent's, we want to wish all the mom's a Happy Mother's Day!! We know you're either going to work everyday, working from home, or working hard at keeping the house going during these tough times.  I want to thank you for all your support this year and sharing your children with me.  It's the best gift I could ever ask for. Parent's , in class we spend a lot of time using the hungry caterpillar to teach topics.  We also typically have caterpillars in the classroom so the student's can watch them  grow and turn into butterflies. Please see the class dojo for more activities.  Also try to get the kids doing some table top activities throughout the day  that are short but require sitting and attending.  Have a great week!!

Hopping into good weather                with FROGS

Hi parent's, welcome to frog week!  I hope you enjoy the books, songs, and activities. On this last activity we aren't up to cutting  such lines but you can try tracing the lines.  I will be talking about frogs on the dojo this week as well,  please check it out.  As always if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me & I love to see pictures of all my little friends in action. Welcome to the 


Movement song, imitate the circus actions 

Using any animal crackers, empty the package, show the animals to your child then try sorting the animals.  follow up activity eat up!!

parents this is creative and fun.  You can use a variety of snacks for this such as cereal, crackers or popcorn.  first mix little water and food coloring, using a clean unused paint brush, paint your snack & enjoy!!!

Week of 6/22

Summer Fun

Parents, our first 2 videos are movement  songs to welcome summer.  You can go back and view them while dancing to them all summer long. This is our last week of the regular school year before summer,  so I posted some 4th of  July activities to show the kids what they might see before the holiday gets here.  I would like to take a moment to thank all of you for sticking with us through this unchartered school year.  I have enjoyed working with you and appreciate all the carry over and efforts you have put into doing  our activities and lessons.  Please know Miss Kate and I are always here for your children and miss them bunches!!!!   Though we are all sad we can't be together in the building this summer we will do our best to keep this going and make it fun.  Thanks again for all your support and kindness through these times.  Please view the dojo this week for additional lessons.  Hope to see you all at the parade tomorrow Monday  June 22, at 11:30.  Quarterly reports will be emailed home this week and as alway feel free to contact with any questions or concerns.
