OUR SCHOOL
Leeway School is a non-profit school that has been in existence for over 40 years, and serves developmentally delayed and typically developing students from 3 to 5 years of age.
Our school lies on a beautiful 4 acre property in Sayville, NY. The size of our campus allows us to offer both outdoor activities and spacious classrooms. Leeway is a private non-profit organization that is funded through school districts, the Suffolk County Department of Health, Bureau of Services For Children With Special Needs.

OUR CLASSES
We are a special education preschool and serve the needs of children from the ages of 3 to 5. Both half day and full day sessions are available.
Leeway has both self contained (8:1:2), and integrated classes (12:1:1. 18:2:1). In self contained classes all of the children are receiving services. In our integrated classes, we have typically developing students in conjunction with children who are receiving services. Every student participates in a program that includes music, pre-literacy, readiness skills, science & math concepts and social emotional skills. Fine and gross motor development are also a focus of our curriculum.

OUR SPECIAL SERVICES
We offer speech and language therapy, physical and occupational therapy, as well as psychological counseling and parent training for children and their families. Additionally, we serve youngsters with Autism Spectrum diagnoses, as well as children with language and other delays.
